Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales is a 2017 American fantasy swashbuckler film and the fifth installment in the Pirates of the Caribbean film series. The film was directed by Espen Sandberg and Joachim Rønning, produced by Jerry Bruckheimer, and distributed worldwide by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures. Plot The film follows the return of Captain Jack Sparrow to the high seas as he searches for the Trident of Poseidon, a powerful artifact that will allow him to gain control over the seas once again. The film's story follows on from those of its predecessors, with Sparrow being pursued by those who want him dead after being presumed dead following the events of At World's End. Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje as Captain Salazar Saoirse Ronan as Elizabeth Swann Keeping with Pirates tradition fans have been anticipating this long awaited sequel and I must say that it does not disappoint. It is a very well made film and looks absolutely stunning in 4K Ultra HD blu ray format. The cast really does a great job in this film and I can see why it is so well received by the fans. Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales tells the story from Jack Sparrow from his return to the seas, which only adds to the anticipation for this film. The film starts off in buccaneer style and before you know it we are taken straight into a thrilling adventure. With a few new faces joining in on the action it has brought back that feel that we all love about the pirates of the caribbean series. The film is filled with many dangers and some new pirates to be introduced for this generation of pirates. I can't wait to see what magic they manage to pull out the bag for the next one. 5/5 Very good movie, great effects , no frames lag at all, only german language (no english) Great movie even better in HDR on my Sony XBR 50X900E OLED TV! Looking forward to seeing more of these movies on 4k blu-ray! Shame about the lack of English audio track though. Should be able to select which audio you want like most other blu-rays. Love Sony gear!. The video transfer is excellent (both standard Blu-ray & 4K UHD). The audio (though 2-channel) is also terrific. I like that the UHD includes both Dolby Atmos & DTS:X audio tracks. A couple of the extras are missing/dropped from Blu-ray, but I can live with that. The new 4K does have some minor image enhancement over standard Blu-ray, but it's not enough to justify the price premium for most viewers. That said, it's still an excellent video transfer. This BD comes with several versions of the movie in 4K including Dolby Vision which is only playable on LG OLED TV . HDR10 version plays on my Sony Bravia XBR X900E . cfa1e77820
